P.E. with Ms. Hiyama
Students who participate in regular physical activity tend to have better cognitive performance, higher grades, improved overall health, memory skills, fine and gross motor skills, and classroom behaviors. Physical education also teaches the importance of teamwork, concentration, perseverance, and following directions. At La Mesa, students receive weekly physical instruction to practice all of these skills. Students also get an opportunity to learn about Playworks and the ways students can develop important life skills.
